History

Double Dragon (1995) is not a side-scrolling beat 'em up, but a 2D versus fighting game developed by Technos Japan, loosely based on the live-action movie of the era. It lets players control legendary brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee, as well as iconic characters like Abobo and Marian, in spectacular head-to-head fights. The gameplay features a Charge gauge that triggers devastating special moves when filled, interactive multi-level arenas, and an energetic soundtrack. The original AES cartridge is a valued and scarce collector's piece, sought after by fans of the console's unique fighters.
