History

Super Sidekicks (known in Japan as Tokuten Ou) redefined arcade soccer in the early 90s. SNK bypassed strict simulation in favor of pure adrenaline: dynamic camera zooms on key plays, close-ups for goal celebrations and referee disputes, and direct gameplay centered on powerful shots and slide tackles. It features 12 national teams competing for the SNK Cup. With vibrant visuals and fluid animations for its time, it became a massive hit in arcades. The original AES cartridge is highly common and remains one of the most affordable and fun purchases for quick multiplayer matches on real hardware.
