The Last Blade 2 is one of the absolute technical and mechanical peaks of 2D fighting on the Neo Geo. Building upon the first game, SNK refined the balance, quickened the combat pace, and introduced a third hybrid fighting style: EX (allowing players to combine Speed chain combos and Power damage output). The roster expanded with memorable characters like Setsuna and Kojiroh Sanada. The visual design is staggering, showing burning battlefields, ruined shrines, and smooth animations that push the cartridge's limits. Due to declining home format sales in 1998, very few AES units were manufactured. Consequently, it is today an extremely rare and prohibitively expensive collector's item, easily fetching over two thousand euros.
