History

Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy is one of the most entertaining and interactive 2D action-platformers in the console's catalog. Released by SNK in 1994, it follows bounty hunters Roddy and Cathy on a space crusade against galactic pirates. The gameplay stands out for incorporating a two-plane system (foreground and background) similar to Fatal Fury, allowing characters to jump between planes to dodge traps and flank enemies, and the use of extendable arms to grab enemies, swing from rings, and pull levers. With colorful, detailed visuals and humor, the original AES cartridge is a sought-after and scarce collector's piece.
