The AES Plus can reach 24 MHz clock speed, a significant improvement over the original hardware's 12 MHz. This overclocking eliminates the slowdowns present in games like Metal Slug 2 — something fans have noticed for decades on the original console. The result is completely smooth performance across the entire catalog.

Modern connectivity and full compatibility
